Finally done with my first contribution to the material collection that my friend and colleague Xavi Anguita and I are creating based on the city of Valencia (Spain). This material takes inspiration from the so-called 'cúpulas azules' ('blue domes'), a very characteristic feature in the valencian skyline, result of the strong pottery tradition of the region and long-lasting arab influence. The first blue dome in Valencia was built in the XVII century and later on many relevant buildings (43 up till now) were adorned with these glazed tiles whose brilliant color emphasizes the blue of the sky and reflects so nicely the sunlight.
100% Substance Designer and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 4.
