Happy to share with you guys my second contribution to the Valencia Materials Collection that I'm co-working with my friend and colleague Xavi Anguita. This material takes inspiration from the ceramic tiles ('azulejos') that adorn the outer wall of the Mercat Central in Valencia.
The building, considered the masterpiece of the Valencian modernist architecture, was started in 1914 and finished in 1928 and in its composition combines wisely metal, glass, stone and ceramic.
You can read the interview I gave for GamesArtistsUK at this link: https://bit.ly/3oi0vYk.
No photogrammetry, all decorations are drawn as vectors with SVG nodes.
100% done in Substance Designer and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 4.
